EMDR Think Tank Initiative

Advancing the Science of EMDR Therapy.

A global, independent consortium connecting researchers and clinician-scientists to advance the scientific foundations, clinical applications, and global integration of EMDR therapy.

Mission

The EMDR Think Tank Initiative connects researchers and clinician-scientists worldwide to advance the scientific foundations, clinical applications, and global integration of EMDR therapy through rigorous, collaborative inquiry.

Vision

A future in which EMDR therapy is grounded in a coherent body of evidence, refined through precision and implementation science, and accessible across cultures and health systems as an established treatment for trauma and related conditions.

Core Research Areas

01

Mechanisms and Models of Change

Investigating the neurobiological, cognitive, and psychophysiological processes that underlie EMDR therapy, and refining theoretical models of how it produces lasting change.
